Building the capacity to do more of what you want
Clinical exercise funded through your NDIS plan, in our on-site gyms or at home. No GP referral needed.
Medicare, NDIS, DVA, WorkCover and private health funds accepted.

Can I use my NDIS plan for exercise physiology?
Yes, where it relates to your disability and the goals in your plan. No GP referral is needed. We invoice your plan manager or the NDIA directly. Exercise physiology is available in our on-site gyms at Penrith, Blaxland and Ryde, and as a home visit across the Penrith area.

What does an exercise physiologist do for NDIS participants?
An accredited exercise physiologist is a university-qualified allied health professional who uses exercise as treatment. That is a different thing to a personal trainer, and the difference matters when it is being funded from a plan.
For participants the work is usually about capacity and independence: building strength to transfer or stand safely, improving endurance so a day out is possible, maintaining function where a condition is progressive, and reducing the secondary health problems that come with limited movement.
Programs are built around your diagnosis, your medications and your goals. Nothing is generic, and nothing assumes a starting point you do not have.
Where it sits alongside physiotherapy: physiotherapy tends to address a specific movement problem, exercise physiology builds the underlying capacity. Many participants have both funded, and where they do, we plan them together.
Am I eligible?
You do not need to work out which budget your funding sits in before you call. Tell us what you are after and how your plan is managed, and we will check whether it fits. If it does not, we will tell you rather than book you in and sort it out later.
You can usually access exercise physiology through the NDIS if:
How NDIS exercise physiology works
Send us an enquiry.
Tell us what you are after, your NDIS number and how your plan is managed. No GP referral is needed. We check the fit.
We confirm that the support matches your plan goals and that the funding is available. We set up a service agreement.
This sets out what we will provide, what it costs and how cancellations work, so there are no surprises. We invoice your plan manager or the NDIA directly.
If you are self-managed, we invoice you and you claim it back.Bring clothes you can move in and enclosed shoes. Sessions run in our gym unless we are coming to you.

What our exercise physiologists help with
Whether the NDIS will fund your sessions depends on the goals in your plan, not on the condition itself. Your plan and the NDIA decide that.
Connected care
Capacity building rarely happens in isolation, and plans often fund more than one of us.
Your exercise physiologist and your physiotherapist can work from the same plan.
Physiotherapy addresses the specific movement problem, exercise physiology builds the capacity underneath it.
Two gyms at Penrith, and we can come to you.
Blaxland and Ryde each have a gym on site, and home visits are available across the Penrith area where getting in is difficult.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different to a personal trainer?
An accredited exercise physiologist is a university-qualified allied health professional. The program is built around your diagnosis, medications and plan goals, and it is claimable through the NDIS. Personal training is neither.
Do I need a GP referral?
No. The NDIS does not require one.
Can you come to my home?
Yes, across the Penrith area. Home visits are arranged by phone or enquiry rather than online.
What if I have never exercised?
That is the usual starting point. Programs begin from where you are, not from where someone assumes you should be.
Can I have exercise physiology and physiotherapy at the same time?
Yes, where your plan funds both. At Penrith they run from the one centre.
Can I use my plan if it is NDIA-managed?
Yes. We are a registered NDIS provider, so participants with NDIA-managed plans can use us.
Tell us what you are working towards
Send us an enquiry with your NDIS number and how your plan is managed, and we will check the fit before we book anything.
