What does a dietitian do?
A dietitian is a university-qualified health professional who turns nutrition science into practical advice. Dietitians help you manage medical conditions through eating — conditions such as diabetes, coeliac disease, IBS and high cholesterol — and build eating habits that are realistic for your life. Our dietitians are Accredited Practising Dietitians and work across Penrith, the Blue Mountains, Ryde and online.

One Team Behind Your Care
Behind every appointment is a team of practitioners who know each other, trust each other and work together for you. Across seven clinics and nine disciplines, our team shares expertise, coordinates treatment plans and celebrates your progress together.
Connected care
Connected care means your dietitian is part of one team, working from the same plan. Here is what that looks like for you.
We start with what you want to achieve.
Not just what to cut out. What you would like to feel: managing your blood sugar, supporting energy levels day to day, or simply being confident about your choices again. That goal shapes your plan, your practitioners, and the way we measure progress.
When it supports your care, your practitioner may involve other members of the team to provide additional expertise.
Your dietitian may recommend seeing an exercise physiologist or, with your consent, loop in a psychologist. A second set of eyes tailored to your unique needs.
Your care travels with you.
Move between our centres and your plan comes with you, so you are not starting over each visit. We’ll only share information beyond your treating team, such as with your GP, with your consent, so you stay in control of who sees what.
Our funding pathways
Dietetics can be accessed privately or through several funding pathways. For current private fees, contact your nearest centre.
