Proud to support the communities we serve
What is exercise physiology?
An accredited exercise physiologist is a university-qualified allied health professional who uses exercise as treatment. They design clinical exercise programs for chronic conditions, injury rehabilitation and recovery, built around your diagnosis, history and goals rather than a generic gym session. Our exercise physiologists work across Penrith and Ryde, with care funded through Medicare, WorkCover, DVA, NDIS or private health.
Why see an exercise physiologist?
Because your exercise program should be based on your personal health, not just your fitness.
Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists are university-qualified allied health professionals who prescribe exercise to support recovery, improve function and help manage chronic health conditions. Every program is evidence-informed, clinically appropriate and tailored to your individual needs.

One Team Behind Your Care
Behind every appointment is a team of practitioners who know each other, trust each other and work together for you. Across seven clinics and nine disciplines, our team shares expertise, coordinates treatment plans and celebrates your progress together.
Connected care
Connected care means your exercise physiologist is part of one team, working from the same plan. Here is what that looks like for you.
We start with what you want to get back to.
Not just a number on a chart. What you would be doing if your health were not holding you back: getting back to the activities you have stepped away from, steadier numbers at your next check-up, or simply feeling stronger and steadier on your feet. That goal shapes your plan, your practitioners, and the way we measure progress.
When it supports your care, your practitioner may involve other members of the team to provide additional expertise.
Your exercise physiologist may recommend working alongside a physiotherapist or, with your consent, loop in a dietitian. A second set of eyes tailored to your individual needs.
Your care travels with you.
Move between our centres and your plan comes with you, so you are not starting over each visit. We only share information beyond your treating team, such as with your GP or, for a work injury, your insurer, with your consent, so you stay in control of who sees what.
Our funding pathways
Exercise physiology can be accessed privately or through several funding pathways. For current private fees, contact your nearest centre.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an exercise physiologist and a personal trainer?
An accredited exercise physiologist is university-qualified to use exercise as treatment for injuries and chronic conditions, and can deliver Medicare, DVA, NDIS and WorkCover-funded care. A personal trainer is not qualified to do this.
Do I need a referral to see an exercise physiologist?
You can book directly. For funded pathways such as Medicare (EPC or CDM), DVA or WorkCover, you will need a referral.
Is exercise physiology covered by Medicare?
With an EPC or CDM referral from your GP, you may be entitled to Medicare-rebated sessions. The number is set by your plan.
Can I use NDIS or WorkCover to see an exercise physiologist?
Yes. We accept NDIS plans and WorkCover referrals for exercise physiology, and we manage the paperwork.
What should I bring to my first appointment with an exercise physiologist?
Any GP referral, recent test results, a list of your medications, and comfortable clothing you can move in.
Will I need a gym?
No. Programs can be done at our centre or at home, using minimal equipment where needed.
Can exercise physiology help with diabetes or heart conditions?
Yes. These are core areas, and exercise is one of the most evidence-supported tools for managing them.
